Luis Sánchez Ramírez began his journey as an artist focusing on landscape and architectural photography using a large format view camera. As he worked through the photographic process, he became more and more fascinated with the images created. 

This fascination brought him to explore the moving image as a way to bridge his passion for literature, photography and film.

As an artitst he's interested in exploring the boundaries between photography, film and video. He examines how these different mediums interact and cross each other’s margins. His woks explores issues of identity, xenophobia, imperialism and immigration.
